Imam Pasand — also known as Himayath or Himayuddin — was historically cultivated for the Nawabs of Hyderabad and is still considered one of the finest mangoes in India. The name means 'pleasing to the Imam' — a reflection of its exceptional quality. The flesh is deep saffron, completely fibre-free, and melts on the tongue with an intensity that is hard to describe. Grown in select Godavari orchards in Andhra Pradesh and available in very limited quantities.
